CEO of ineedhits
Oct 19th

I am excited to step back in as the CEO of ineedhits.
Here is a little press on the matter.
ineedhits Charity
Jul 2nd

I am happy to see that ineedhits is taking part in more and more charities as it matures.
Just two weeks ago Rachel and I attended our oldest child’s local primary school quiz night and silent auction fundraising event, where we donated three Google Local Advertising packages (12 mths each) which raised close to $1000 ($650 + $210 + $105) for the school (of the total $11,000 raised on the night).
A couple days later Warren Duff (ineedhits CEO) slept outside (on the Subiaco Oval) with many other Perth CEOs to help raise close to $500k for Australia’s homeless. The event was Vinnies CEO Sleepout – Warren raised a very credible $1635 of the $2.85M.
Now I hear that most of the ineedhits staff are planning on running in Perth’s City to Surf. I will definitely be using my ruptured Achilles tendon as the excuse on this one.
A big thanks to all ineedhits staff from me – job well done!
And you thought SEO was easy

ineedhits David v’s Goliath
Jun 24th

I tend to see ineedhits‘ purpose much like “David v’s Goliath”…. helping small businesses compete against the large corporates on the Internet, by outwitting them in the Search Engine Marketing arena.
I was prompted to think about this a couple days ago by a video on Staff Motivation sent to me by Rene LeMerle.
sales people gone where
May 24th

Why is it so hard to find great (or even just “good”) sales people these days?
- Is it the “Y Generation” (the “me me me, fuck you, generation”) problem, who want high salaries without high performance? (Note: I don’t think ALL Gen Y’ers are like this, but unfortunately a LARGE percentage are VERY much like this.)
- Or is it just the bad rep that the word (and role) “sales” seems to have gained over the past two decades?
- Or is it the “conservative (risk averse) nature” about having a guaranteed (ie: boring) salary mentality that the working force is getting trapped in to?
As you can probably gauge, I believe it is a mixture of the three points above.
ineedhits (our Search Engine Marketing firm) is currently trying to hire a few new (good to excellent) sales team members and we are very disappointed with the low response rate, and the low quality of those that did respond. What ever happened to trying to “sell yourself”? If you can’t convince us (or even yourself), how are you going to convince potential customers.
People with the right mind set, can achieve an EXCELLENT overall salary, if the job offers a decent base salary, with achievable targets combined with attractive commissions. Come on people, set yourself a challenge, go out and achieve it and then be rewarded!!
warren duff qik
Sep 15th
I did a quick mobile video interview with Warren Duff (CEO of ineedhits) today, using my new Nokia N95 (bought specifically so I can do Qik videos).
I founded ineedhits over 12 yrs ago (1996), and I think Warren has now worked at ineedhits for over 5 yrs (?). He originally started as Business Development Manager -> Sales Manager (?) -> COO -> Co-CEO -> only recently taken the reigns as the new CEO.
He’s doing a great job, please watch to the interview. The audio is not terrific… I will get better at that.
